The Evangelization Committee sponsors the Speaker Series at Holy Cross. Thoughout the year the committe brings talented speakers from around the country to help us, as a parish and a community, to grow in our Catholic Faith. Sunday, February 26th - Tuesday, February 28th, 2012
Deacon Larry will be presenting Mission talks each evening beginning at 7:00 PM.

• Sunday: “The Kingdom”

Deacon Larry will preach on “the Kingdom of God” and raise three questions about the Kingdom of God. What is it? Are we in it or merely observers? What are the realities of the battle between the Kingdoms of Light and darkness (Spiritual Warfare)?

• Monday: “The Power”

We will look at the supernatural power that exploded over the heads of the disciples and Mary in the upper room (Acts chapter 2) and what it means to us today. We will briefly explore the difference between the indwelling verses the infilling of the Holy Spirit. We will look at the power of God’s love and its power to heal our hearts, minds, bodies, & souls!

• Tuesday: “The Glory”

We will explore and exhort briefly on the progression of God’s desire for us to be in covenant with Him, which means that He allows us to experience a glimpse of the fullness of His shekinah glory as Moses experienced on Mount Sinai. We will look at the fire of His glory from the mountain to our hearts.

Deacon Larry D. Oney is a Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is assigned to Saint Louis King of France Cathedral in the historic French Quarter in New Orleans. He and his wife and their children reside in LaPlace, Louisiana and are members of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Larry is the Chairman at the Board of HGI, (Hammerman & Gainer International and an active member of the New Orleans Chapter of Legatus He is chairman of the Board of Regents for Our Lady of Holy Cross College. Deacon Larry ministers nationally and internationally and has appeared on EWTN, Franciscan Radio, and Ava Maria Radio. Deacon Larry has a dynamic ministry of preaching, teaching, and exhortation. He utilizes humor, scripture and his love of the people of God to speak to the heart of God’s people in an uplifting manner. Larry’s first book “Amazing Grace overcoming Race” is scheduled for release in early 2012.
