School Secretary

Debbie Glemkowski comes to Holy Cross School after serving as the parish Early Teen Youth Minister. She and her family have been parishioners of Holy Cross for four years and are very grateful to have found God’s love so present in the wonderful people and vibrant Catholic Faith of this community. Debbie and her husband, Jim, have been married 24 years and are blessed with six children, ranging in age from seven to 21.

Debbie brings to her position an appreciation for the many sacrifices of all parents, including her own, who made it possible for her to attend Catholic schools throughout her grade school, high school and college years. She attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance. While employed by a large insurance company in Chicago, she attended night classes at DePaul University, where she also met Jim. Debbie earned a Masters of Business Administration from DePaul, with an emphasis in Marketing, in 1987. That year, she and Jim also celebrated the birth of their first child whereupon Debbie left her management position to stay home and raise their family.  The Glemkowski’s two youngest children will be students at Holy Cross School and Debbie looks forward to sharing so closely in their experiences while also helping facilitate an organized, thoughtful and responsive office environment.

Debbie has a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother and attends daily Mass with profound thankfulness for Jesus Christ’s Gift of the Eucharist. She cherishes the Rosary and the prayer support we can all be to each other. In her spare time, she enjoys running, gardening, reading, taking walks with her husband and their new dog, Ben, and keeping up with the pace of a busy family life.

Debbie looks forward to participating in a school atmosphere so full of appreciation for our Saints and the beautiful richness of our Catholic heritage. She and her family admire the years of planning and dedication by our Pastor, priests and so many hard-working parishioners that have made this dream become a reality. She is grateful to God that she can help make Holy Cross School a place of great learning, joy and peace for our children, parents, the staff and administration.
