Principal

Tricia Weis

I received my elementary education degree from Augustana College.  I recently received my master's degree and Type 75 administrative certificate from the University of St. Francis.

I graduated from college in the fall of '91 and substitute taught in Naperville District 203 and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in grades K-8.  I then taught first grade for one year in the Oakbrook Terrace School District before moving to the Oswego School District where I taught second grade for 3 1/2 years.  At that time I decided to stay home to raise my family.  I was the Title I teacher at Our Lady of Good Counsel School for three years after my first two children started attending preschool and have spent several years at OLGC assisting the administration with training teachers in best practices, substitute teaching, and leading the school recruitment committee.

When teaching, I find it natural to integrate Catholicism and faith into the curriculum. My areas of expertise are in reading and writing, as well as differentiating the curriculum to meet individual needs. I want to give students the opportunity to learn in a positive, rigorous, comfortable atmosphere where they come to realize their many God given gifts and talents.

I am an upbeat, friendly person who will always make the time to help you with whatever you may need.  I am passionate about seeing God's grace and mercy in all situations, guiding others to reach for their dreams, and taking the time to get to know those around me.  I expect children to behave well, show respect, be honest, and learn from their mistakes.  I have a sense of humor and like to have fun!
