Kindergarten (half day)

Cindy Bernstein

Hello! My name is Cindy Bernstein and I will be teaching half day Kindergarten at Holy Cross this fall. I am excited to be part of this great community and I look forward to meeting all of the wonderful families of Holy Cross.

I am a graduate of William Fremd High School in Palatine and I have a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business from Western Illinois University with a major in accounting. After college I worked in the business world for 16 years; however, I have always been interested in teaching. Recently, I went back to school to obtain my State of Illinois Teaching Certification and I am very close to earning a Master\u2019s degree in Elementary Education from National Louis University. I have a wonderful husband and two great children, ages 8 and 10. My hobbies include spending time with my family, reading, and biking.

Previously I taught first and third grade at Louis White School in Batavia. As a teacher, I am committed to developing my students both academically and socially so they can be the best they can be. I believe that education is a team effort. Therefore, it is important to me to establish meaningful relationships with both students and parents. Additionally, I understand the important role religion plays in developing young children and I look forward to sharing my faith with my students.

It is my goal to combine my life experiences with my enthusiasm and compassion to make a positive impact on the students I have the privilege to teach at Holy Cross. I have a diverse background with much to offer and believe I will make a valuable contribution to the students, parents, and fellow staff members of Holy Cross. My door is always open so come and see me anytime. I look forward to meeting all of you!
