5th Grade
Andrea Bobosky
My name is Andrea Bobosky and I am the fifth grade
teacher at Holy Cross Catholic School. I feel very blessed and
excited to have this opportunity to provide an excellent education
filled with faith and to inspire my students spiritually, intellectually
and emotionally.
My family moved to Batavia three years ago from
Naperville, Illinois. My husband Blake and I were born and raised
there. My family was actually one of the first farming families in
Naperville. The house I grew up in was built in 1849 which made
me the sixth generation in the house!
I attended St. Francis High School in Wheaton, IL and then
went onto Benedictine University where I received my Bachelors
degree in Elementary Education. I started my teaching career in the
same district that I grew up in, Naperville School District 203. I have
always had a passion for teaching and helping my students become
life-long learners. I taught second grade for five years, received my
Masters in Curriculum and Instruction through National-Louis
University and then started a family of my own.
Blake and I have been blessed with three wonderful daughters.
Addie is in fifth grade, Dessa a fourth grader and Julia is in third
grade. We really cherish and focus on spending a lot of family time
together. Our family also includes our special pets Lola, a chocolate
lab and Lily, a rat terrier.
For the past two years I have worked in the Batavia School
District. I was a paraprofessional aide at Grace McWayne working
with children in grades K-5 in all areas of study. Last year I was
teaching third grade at Hoover-Wood Elementary taking over two
maternity leaves.
