3rd
Grade
Michelle West
I received my Bachelor's Degree from
Northern Illinois University in
1987. Since then I have attended many workshops and have
earned Graduate hours in the field of Literature (children's)
For the past eight years, I have been the Primary
Resource/Enrichment
teacher for grades 1 to 3 at S. James the Apostle in Glen Ellyn.
I have taught preschool and 2nd grade at St. Mary's in West
Chicago and 1st grade in Aurora for two years.
I enjoyed being a facilitator for the Eucharistic Retreats for the 2nd
graders and their parents. I have also been the Coordinator
for the Outdoor Education Program for our 5th graders through Aurora
University (Lake Geneva Campus) and, most recently, through Camp
Algonquin.
My hobbies include reading, long walks, and
vacations at the lake in
Wisconsin with my brothers and their families. Most of the
time you can find me at one of my children's sporting events!!
I am looking forward to developing caring,
responsible, and lifelong
learners in my class, as well as developing new and lasting
relationships with my fellow staff members and principal.
