Who Will Pray For Me?
The 4th Friday of every month, Holy Cross parishioners are called to pray for 1 hour at the Planned Parenthood building in Aurora for the unborn babies who are scheduled to die there by abortion. We pray for the babies, and for the mothers and fathers, that they might choose LIFE. We stand as witness that someone does care. We offer HOPE. But we need your help. We need more people to pray. We need YOU! Please sign up in the narthex or contact Kathleen at 630-482-9908 or e-mail her at: kathleendietz@hotmail.com
Need an Idea of What to Pray for this Lent?
Bishop Doran has asked each one of us to “pray and fast that wisdom and justice may prevail, and religious liberty may be restored” in regards to the recent mandate issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
This Lent, would you consider praying a daily Rosary for this intention? If you don’t like praying alone, or are unsure of how to pray the Rosary, you can join us in church Monday through Friday at 6:00AM or 7:30AM, and Saturday at 8:00AM. If you can’t make it to church at those times, tune in to Relevant Radio at 7:30AM, 8:00PM or 10:30PM, as they pray a 54 day Rosary Novena for this intention. Relevant Radio can be found at 930 AM, 950 AM or online at relevantradio.com.

A Time to Heal *
for Post-Abortive Women
“A Time to Heal” is a 12-week Bible-studybased support group bringing the healing of Jesus to post-abortive women. Centered on Holy Scripture, “A Time to Heal” focuses on pivotal women of the Old Testament and Mary, the Mother of God. Participants will discover how some women in the Old Testament made bad choices yet eventually played an important role in carrying out God’s plan.
The program is offered through the Respect Life Office of the Diocese of Rockford. Anyone interested in participating should call 815-877-5433.
* This program is not a substitute for therapy or counseling.
Respect Life Quote
"It is above all in raising children that the family fulfills its mission to proclaim the Gospel of Life….The family celebrates the Gospel of life through daily prayer, both individual prayer and family prayer. The family prays in order to glorify and give thanks to God for the gift of life, and implores this light and strength in order to face times of difficulty and suffering without losing hope. Both the celebration which gives meaning to every other form of prayer and worship is found in the family's actual daily life together, if it is a life of love and self-giving" |
