Meal Outreach Ministry
The purpose of the Meal Outreach Ministry is to serve the parish by providing meals to families in crisis such as a family member in or just home from the hospital, a family member with a serious illness or injury or a grieving family. We also bring meals to families who are welcoming a new child into their home. Meals provide a way to say we care and we suppport you through this difficult time or as a way to celebrate the gift of new life.
There are three ways to get involved in the Meal Outreach Ministry:
- Most importantly refer parishioners who would be helped by this ministy. Families shy away from referring themselves. They need you to advocate for them.
- Volunteer to cook and deliver meals to families. Your name will be placed on a list and you will be called as needed, four to six times a year.
- Let us know if your family would be helped by the meal ministry. We will bring hot meals to your door. You do not need to invite us in.
If you would like to refer a parishioner or volunteer to help cook, please contact Kelli Meyer at (630) 389-0618 or send an email.

Déjà Vu Thrift Shop
Déjà Vu sales benefit the Southeastern District of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul (SVdP). The SVdP assures that 99 cents of every dollar received goes to those in need. This upscale resale and consignment store features jewelry, books, furniture, clothes, toys, antiques and art among other items in its 12 themed rooms.
Are you looking for someplace to donate those former "treasures" that decorate your home now that the Barn Sale is no longer here? Have you considered donating them to our store, Deja Vu, in Geneva? We are in need of all types of household items and knick-knacks. You can drop off a donation anytime from 10:00AM to 4:00PM Tuesday thru Saturday at the shop. And, while you're there, do some shopping and find new "treasures" to replace the ones you're donating! Remember, 100% of the profits from the store go to help the poor in the community.
For more information please contact the store manager Bernie Schlameuss at (630) 232-6621 or bschlameuss@comcast.net.
