(All Enriching Lives Ministry members are welcome to attend)

The following lists services the ministry provides for these special people:

• Group, family, couple or single person visiting
  (just talking, cards, bingo or whatever you want to do)

• Respite care

• Short trips to fun places
  (out to eat, to park, etc.)

• Day and overnight trips to fun places
  (on air-conditioned/heated bus with washroom facilities)

• Transportation to Mass, Confession, Senior Luncheon and other church functions
  (using the Holy Cross bus* or private cars)

• Transportation for groceries, doctor’s visits, etc.
  (using the Retired Senior Volunteer Program {RSVP, 630 406-9993} or us)

• Needed errands for those unable to travel on their own
  (we pick up items for you)

• People to give a caregiver relief from time to time

• Card sending, crafts, gift making and other activities

• Home cleanup or (minor) repair

• Yard work

• Doing things with the youth of the parish
  (games, praying, reading, etc.)

• Entertainment
  (Karaoke, singing, music, etc.)

• Assistance with Rosaries and Mass at nursing home facilities

• Other needs or things these special people would like to do or have us do for them
  (just phone us)

Please phone 630 879-4750 if you have any of the above needs with which we may help you or are interested in joining this ministry and participating in any of the above activities.  If someone from Holy Cross Church answers, ask them for extension 321 (or the Enriching Lives Ministry line).  If no one answers, select extension 321 or the Enriching Lives Ministry line when prompted.

*Bus service to Mass:  A part of this ministry uses the Holy Cross bus to bring people from Heritage Woods, Holmstad, Ekstam, Riverrain and Batavia Apartments to Holy Cross Church for Mass, Confession, senior luncheons and other church activities ... even if the people are wheelchair or walker-bound.  The bus is equipped with a lift for these people.  Future plans include bringing others unable to come to church to these events.
