High School Youth Ministry

High School Yout MinistryOver this past school year we had the wonderful opportunity to minister to and share the gospel with hundreds of teens from around the area, through Jams, Retreats, Forum, Peer Ministry, Stations of the Cross, Service, Pro-Life and Social events. In order to serve our young people in a more consistent and pro-active way, please consider sharing some of your time and talent with us.

These programs are open to all Holy Cross high school students and their friends. Contact Pat Haviland, High School Youth Minister, regarding coming events at 630-879-4751 x111.

From the High School Youth Minister, Pat Haviland...

Hey adults! We are looking for some help! Do you like working with teens? Do you love God? Are you willing to share of your time and talent with a bunch of awesome teens. Then, we need your help. What are my options?

  • Peer Ministry: This group meets weekly starting on Sept. 11th and has monthly outreaches - typically on Sundays - and three retreats.
  • Forum: Small groups meet on Wednesday evenings in the St. Jude room from 7:00PM-9:00PM.  What do we do?  We have discussions  on teen topics, including: dating, parents, peer pressure, Church teachings and friends. Come participate in activities, prayer and games... bring a friend!
  • Service Saturday Opportunities: Monthly 9:00AM-Noon starting in September.
  • Special Forces: Teen leadership mostly focused on middle school, but this group also helps Peer Ministry on occasion, and Stations of the Cross. They meet on Wednesdays a few weeks before an event from 6:00PM - 7:00PM.
  • Food help and general chaperoning are always needed for many of these events. If you are able to help a lot or a little, call Pat Haviland 630-879-4751, ext. 111.
