New Policy for Working at Games Played at Holy Cross
There will also be a change in the policy for working admissions and concessions at home volleyball and basketball games next year. We will no longer ask for volunteers via email or utilize the volunteer website to get games covered. Prior to the start of each month assignments will be made, and the work schedule will be emailed to all families and will also be posted on the school website and in the school lobby. No families will be assigned duties that will conflict with watching their son/daughters's games. If your family cannot work on your assigned date, it will be your responsibility to find a replacement to take your place, and you will be assigned an alternate date to work. If you are not willing to work at games next year, we will offer you the opportunity to opt-out of your responsibilites for a $200 fee which is payable at registration.
2011-2012 School Year
The Crusader philosophy of using athletics as an extension of our faith-based curriculum has provided our students with a foundation of sportsmanship, dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm. As Holy Cross School starts our fourth year of athletics, we are very excited to build upon the successes of the past three years. We offer opportunities for 5th-8th grade students to participate in Girls Volleyball, Boys Football, Co-Ed Soccer, Boys and Girls Basketball, and Boys and Girls Track and Field. We are part of the Aurora Catholic League, and also compete against other area Catholic, private, and public schools.

We have also seen our volleyball program grow from three teams in 2008, four teams in 2009, to five teams in 2010. We encourage all students, parents, staff, and parishioners to come out to cheer on the Crusaders.

I have a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Benedictine University in Lisle, Il and Bachelors Degrees in Business Management and Marketing from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I am certified by the IHSA in Coaching and Sports First Aid. I played varsity football and baseball at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Canton, OH. I then went on to play football for four years at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I coached wide receivers and defensive backs at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, and I am currently coaching Batavia Youth Baseball and Batavia Youth Football. I have also been playing on the Holy Cross Church softball team for the past ten years.
I enjoy coaching youth football and baseball. I also am having a great time organizing the Holy Cross School sports programs. I am learning a lot and meeting great people. I have been involved in weight training for 15 years and a runner for the past 14 years (I married a marathoner) having run the Chicago Marathon twice, now including my first Triathalon. I also coach my sons in baseball and football and enjoy helping my daughter with soccer and softball.
Seeing the kids have fun in whatever sport or activity they are going to participate in this year. I am also looking forward to working with all of the parents, volunteers, and staff.

classes, sports, friendships, challenges and joyful expectation for all that is to come, Holy Cross School is a place of love diffusing far and wide the goodness of Christ. Only in openness to the Holy Spirit can we continue to grow in body, mind and soul and give glory to Christ by becoming all that He calls us to be in His Holy Name.
